What are Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback?
Brain mapping involves using sensors to determine over and under-active regions of the brain. These regions are shown in the maps above as either red (over-active) or blue (under-active) areas, which can then be trained with neurofeedback sessions. These sessions are generally 20-minutes twice per week. During these sessions, you watch a show or movie, play a game, or listen to a podcast or music. When the area of the brain being trained is at the optimal level, you are able to see the screen, your character moves, or you hear the audio clearly. Conversely, when the brain regions is over or under-active, the screen shrinks or dims, the character stays still, or the volume becomes inaudible. Eventually, your brain adapts to the training and begins to run at the optimal level on its own.
